Final assembly
Fitting of the restored, original interior. This shade of green was very-very rare in the day. Although it is very elegant even compared to present styling.
Unfortunately some of the carpets were missing, and this shade is unobtainable today. We went for a combination of black and grey color with success.
Somebody vandalized the original glove box cover of the car.
I bought another from ebay.
Although it was advertised to be the same type/year, it was definitely NOT the same. The original opened nicely...
..the new did not.
Upon inspection it turned out to be slightly different.
The solution was to make one out of the two.
Meanwhile the front end started to take shape. We bought a 2nd hand washer tank from the US.
Just like a new hanger for it to replace the old - quite battered unit.
The other side with the brand new cooler and pipes.
I decided to replace the original fuse box with a modern style. Although not original, it will be hidden under the cover, and will make a huge improvement in terms of reliability.
Final touch in the boot: a replica of the original stickers.

AC, heating, fresh air system
Every unit was taken apart, cleaned, lubricated.
One motor was found to be faulty. It was replaced.
The front heat exchanger was damaged by the accident. Despite our best efforts to save it, it needed to be replaced.
All ac tubes were replaced to cope with modern ac gas.
Rear suspension, handbrake, front oil cooler
After waiting for the handbrake parts for a long-long time, they arrived, so the rear suspension could be finalzed.
We also went on with the oil lines and the new front oil cooler.
We also used a new oil thermostat unit.
Electricity
The old wiring was in correct condition, though many details needed to be fixed.
I did not liked the fuse box. After a bit of research I have found a good solution. it is on its way from the USA.
The gauges only needed a good clean and a lick of paint.
Despite we bought new aftermarket lamps, finally we went on with rebuilding the originals. The quality was far superior.
Engine startup!
We always start the engine on a crane. It is much easier to deal with oil leaks and other problem while engine is outside.
This time the subframe is a bit more complicated than usually.
Last minute trouble: an engine mount gave up while standing still :-o.
Thankfully no harm to the engine.
